Laura Jensen Walker
Laura is a writer of six wonderful books, including Thanks
for the Mammogram & Mentalpause and Other Midlife Laughs. She is a hilarious
and thought-provoking speaker, and breast-cancer survivor. I first met
Laura at Mount Hermon Writers' Conference several years ago. She and her
"Renaissance-man" husband Michael are now close friends. From her website,
you'll see she loves: books, show tunes, Trivial Pursuit and hates: math,
rodents, and hot weather. I can verify the rodents part; she and I spent
a writing weekend at a mountain cabin, and she vows she heard mice squeaks
throughout the night. (Probably me dreaming) Laura is a joy in my life,
and her determination motivates me.

We met this remarkable couple on a mountaintop in Austria, when we were
about to descend into an ancient salt mine. They live in Tennessee, have
a new long-awaited baby daughter, and we've become lifelong friends.

Carmen Leal
In an often thankless and unending job, The Twenty-third
Psalm for Caregivers is a welcome reminder that caregivers are not alone.
The Shepherd sees, leads, and empowers caregivers and will restore their
weary souls.
The Twenty-third Psalm for Caregivers offers a new perspective on this
familiar psalm, and after reading the book, caregivers will have renewed
hope that the Shepherd will provide for their families in every way.
The only promise the book makes is that God will be with them in their
care-giving journey; and that's a powerful promise.
