Jan is a native Californian whose great grandmother bounced across the prairie in a covered wagon as a young girl and passed down stories of the adventure. Jan inherited the gift of storytelling and an infectious sense of humor. If you like to laugh, if you want to grow closer to God, you will love Jan. Her enthusiastic, upbeat presentations—though she addresses the most serious topics—have a special way of embracing you where you’re at and sending you off refreshed to meet life’s challenges. With the transparency of a trusted girlfriend, she merges her own life’s lessons with Biblical insights that challenge and inspire. She’s often described as “funny and deep.” Lively and always entertaining, she delights her audiences with an array of hats and props she pulls out of an old suitcase. Nobody ever naps through one of her talks. Plus, she always pokes fun at herself which helps others look at life from the light side. “She who can laugh at herself,” she says, “will never cease to be amused.” Jan shares with bold transparency. Her messages are life changing and reach across all generations. She urges women to be real and to shed all the masks, to let God peel off all the layers, let him free us of all that stands between us and the abundant life promised by Christ. A life of using our gifts and talents to glorify our God and enjoy him forever. Jan is a graduate of CLASS, Christian Leaders Authors and Speakers Seminar, and is a featured speaker at a variety of women's events and retreats. She serves on the faculties of several writing conferences in northern California. Whether it’s a banquet, tea, workshop or retreat, Jan is happy to adapt her messages to your group's theme and goal for your women. She offers more than being just a speaker but is available for retreat brainstorming and as a soft shoulder and ear for the women during and after the event. Personal note from Jan: I love being a woman. While I've passed through all the seasons; the doll days, the boy crazies, dorm life, marriage, (divorce) motherhood, the professional world—and I’m now in the second half of life—I'm still becoming all the woman I was created to be. That’s one of the messages I want to pass on to others. We have so much to giggle about, weep over, and still overcome, but we all have a passport for the grand tour, the greatest of all journeys, a first-class adventure with Christ. I want you to embrace the truth of who you are in him and don’t let anything stop you from shining your brightest and best for the God who calls you his own. For retreats and conferences the fee varies according to factors such as time/length of presentations, but ranges from $250 to $300 per one hour talk. I'm delighted to send serious groups a complementary keynote sampler CD and packet of information. I do like to know how many women you expect, what theme you're leaning toward and what your goal is for your women during the weekend. This helps me prepare the packet just for you. Please provide me with your organize/ministry name, contact person, mailing address, phone and approximate date of interest. from laughter to tears and always to a sense of GodÕs restorative
power and the hope available to each of us when we commit our lives
to his
plan and purposes. We LOVED Jan. Heartfelt, genuine message of lessons learned from her own experience
using God’s word and scriptural basis so we can benefit as we’re
dealing with similar experiences. Not just teaching precepts, but hard-learned
lessons. Knowing God is faithful and with us and willing to restore despite
our mistakes. You had so much pizzazz! You were so real with us. I never lost interest. I loved your honesty and transparency. I loved your real life stories
that are so poignant. Thank you for ministering to us. We love and pray
for you. You’re a great team player at Catch Phrase! Loved your charisma. You have a gift for telling stories that I
related to. Thank you. It was motivating, well presented, exciting. You were so fun, and
I loved you! Thank you for your enthusiasm and heart for the Lord.
It’s
contagious The way you told about your life and where it led to where you are
now—how
inspiring. You presented your material well to the group. I was really
motivated by your message and will leave feeling so blessed and encouraged. " I can't say enough about Jan's presentation. She
if a gifted communicator and has had a huge impact on my ministry.
Through relating her personal
and professional experience, Jan communicates God's truths in a fresh
and funny way that connects with audiences in a was that only she can.
I have been richly blessed by her enthusiasm and encouragement." "If Jan Coleman were a coffee pot, she'd be a percolator! She
is an animated and captivating writer and speaker. Her enthusiasm is
contagious,
a true gift from God to her listeners and readers. Most important, however,
is her depth of understanding and ability to encourage. These are words
honed and matured through some very difficult life lessons. Yet they
are presented in an entertaining way that will leave you inspired, encouraged
and motivated. I'm proud to call her a friend and mentor." "Gutsy and honest with a sprinkling of humor, Jan shoots straight
for the heart. Through her warm inspirational stories, she restores hope
in a God who cares deeply about our losses and disappointments. I left
inspired and wanting to hear more." "In a room filled with women, there wasn't a dry eye or a woman that couldn't see the hope in Jan's book. That 'black hole' of emotion that we face when tragedy strikes often leaves us searching for that elusive hope. Jan's talk motivates those who feel they have no direction or purpose in life left with the true word which gives us hope. During her talk she kept us captivated with the stories of women facing devastation, yet where able to find hope and light in the darkness. Jan's wonderful self depraving sense of humor made us laugh and feel like she was a friend we had known for years. During Jan's talk, I couldn't help but think of my neighbor who
'visits' her deceased husband at the cemetery everyday and sees no
reason to go
on. And my friend who is struggling to hang onto her failing marriage.
When I am so often at a loss for words with them, Jan's book is so uniquely
written to give both of them the encouragement and empowerment they need
to move on. It is a gift that I am so excited to give. What greater blessing
can you give than God's promise?" |
