A Bay Area Baby Boomer, I had the American Graffiti teenage experience, innocent fun and a future filled with promise, until a few poor choices threw me for a curve and changed my course. (I won't go into it here; you can read all about it in my book, "After the Locusts.")

Yet, God has done amazing things with me since the locust storms. Like Job, he has blessed the latter part of my life more than the first. He's restored my soul and renewed my dreams in delightful ways. He's given me: an endless supply of material to write about and deeper insights into myself and others, countless opportunities to share my life's lessons for his glory, a passion for hurting women, to help them be "locust survivors." I have two beautiful grown daughters (whom you would never know are former prodigals) and a supportive husband. Carl introduced me to my second and third passions; traveling on a budget (whatever it takes) and trout fishing.

We are active in our growing church in Auburn. www.sonrise.org Carl serves on the elder board and we teach a seminar on discovering your spiritual gifts, your God-given passions and your unique ministry.

I love the old black and white movies from the '40's, musical theater with lots of dancing, Gone With the Wind, English tea parties, Scrabble, hiking in the Sierras and working on my scrapbooks. I'm an avid antique-shabby chic, yard sale fanatic who buys more than she should and has annual yard sales to de-clutter.
